Here is How Using The Wrong Laptop Charger Can Decrease Its Performance

One of the things that make the user experience of any PC attractive is when your PC works along with you. You will agree with me that a situation where you'll press letter A in your keyboard, and it appears on your monitor screen minutes after you must've forgotten that you pressed the button is really really annoying. I've had my own share of those annoying experience, and those experiences pushed into searching for answers and solutions

Today, I use my PC, and it runs on full capacity with lots of multi-tasking and still maintains it's processing speed and an incredibly cold temperature. Today I am going to reveal those secrets to you so that if you are in such bondage, you will follow to rejoice while using your PC with its potential and efficacy.

Many times we have been faced issues like the blue screen, laggy interface, extreme hot temperature while using our laptops, frequent system crashes, etc. All problems are a consequence of some hardware related issue that may have arisen on our computer, and we shall take them as many as we can, one after the other.

==>> Extreme Hot Temperature: According to my research and experience, one of the causes of your PC being hot as hell is because you are using a charger that is either faulty or incompatible with your PC. If you take a closer look at the image  1 and 2 below, you will observe that the CPU usage on both images is different. The first image from when I was using an 18.5v charger on my HP Elitebook and the second one is from when I was using a 19.5v charger on the same laptop. During my time of the 18.5v charger, my PC of 8gb ram, 1Tb hard drive and Intel Core i5 PC was extremely slow in response(performance) and as well scorching to the extent that I can't put it on my laps while working with it.

Luckily for me, I heard a neighbor who has been using the same PC before me, so I borrowed her charger just for one night, and I was really amazed at how my PC's performance improved drastically.  The following dawn, I went straight to the closest dealer shop and got exact my neighbor is using and bye-bye to hot and lagging PC!!!.

==.>> RAM Issues: Yes, apart from charger issues, one of the major problems experienced by most computer users is Ram Issues. Thanks to Microsoft Windows inbuilt Windows Memory Diagnostics, you easily and quickly diagnose your Ram, and the system will tell if it's other or if RAM replacement is required. To run the WMD, you have to do is follow these simple steps.
  • Open Run Command Prompt by pressing CTRL+R.
  • Type mdsched.exe and press Enter.
  • In the screen that appears next, Choose your suitable restart option, whether to Restart Now or Schedule A Restart as seen in the screenshot below.
  • The Windows Memory Diagnostics tool will start its operations after the computer reboots.

==>> Hard Drive Issues: It always good to go and flow along with the trends in technology. Most computer hardware produced nowadays come with the latest trends in technology. For instance, Most modern hard disks these days comes with an excellent feature called (S.M.A.R.T.). Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology. Computer Hard Drives use this feature to take care of their own health and also, notify the user if any error(s) occurs. You can access the S.M.A.R.T. information on your computer. However, Microsoft Windows don't have an inbuilt utility for this but we can An Elevated Command Prompt to still use SMART. All you have to do is....
  1. Start your command Prompt as ADMIN
  2. Type this command wmic and then press Enter.
  3. Type the command diskdrive get status then press Enter.
  4. Now S.M.A.R.T. of your hard drive will be displayed in few moments.
If your hard drive is Ok, then you have nothing to worry about. But if it flags any error, then you definitely need to do something about your hard drive.

==>>  For CPU Issues: The Central Processing Unit is the workhorse of the computer system. Traditionally, the term "CPU" refers to a processor, it carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions. I know of only 2 types of CPU, Intel, and AMD. You can use any of the tools below to run a diagnostics of your CPU depending on its type.
  • For Intel, use Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool
  • for Intel or AMD, use Hot CPU Tester
