3 Linux Flavors Are Coming To Microsoft Windows Store

This is truly amazing! I am short of words to say on this one. Microsoft is truly keeping to their words at the promised they made to developers in Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Developers have been left out in Windows but Microsoft is saying no more! They are indeed offering developers more options on Windows 10, at Build 2017, it announced that three of the most popular Linux distributions are coming to the Windows Store.
3 Linux Flavors Are Coming To Microsoft Windows Store
SUSE Linux, Fedora, and Canonical's very own Ubuntu are coming to Windows Store!!! can you believe that? These 3 Linux flavors will all be available to be installed directly from the Windows Store, allowing users to seamlessly run Linux apps on any Windows 10 device. The Linux installations will run in a virtualized environment alongside your Windows OS, with the same command-line utilities available that you’d have with a normally full installation.
3 flavors of Linux in the Windows Store
You will remember that last year, Microsoft made headlines at Build developer conference when it announced the support for the Bash shell and Ubuntu Linux binaries directly into Windows 10. This development (Ubuntu, SUSE Linux, and Fedora in Windows Store) will also be seen in the Student's Windows 10 S, as the Washington tech giants also have students who would want to have access to the open-source operating system for developing code at heart.

Users will first have to enter Developer Mode on their Windows 10 machine and enable Linux support. The part I love most is that you'll be able to pick up any of these three Linux distros directly through the Windows Store.  Then, instead of running your Linux in a virtual machine, you just have to head over to the Windows Store and download the distro of your choice with a single click.
