Google Allo Updated to Version 2.0

Its been several weeks Allo was launched and the app is already making waves and already competing for top stop with other IM app like FB Messenger and Whatsapp which has been in existence longer than it, but the recent events and developments has shown that Allo is not really the number one IM fro most Android users, thereby questioning the apps ability to be and maintain the number one spot. Google on the other hand is a giant tech company and number 2 is not on there list, that's why they upgraded the app to version 2.0, in other to fix and address several issues and concerns led by users regarding the previous version.

Google Allo’s Play Store listing has not yet displayed the change-log of the new version 2.0, as the app is still rolling out, but the Google Nexus Twitter account has announced that the latest update brings Nougat which split-screen support and quick-reply from the notifications bar. However, a couple of community members have posted an unofficial change-log Allo 2.0’s APKMirror, which are stated below:

1.    Support for toggling chats to monochrome

2.    Direct Voice Recognition in Assistant

3.    Splash Screen

4.    Quick Reply Support

5.    Split-screen Support

6.    GIF Support in keyboard (for Nougat 7.1+)

7.    App Shortcuts for 7.1+

8.    Direct share

The new update may take a few to roll out to all users around the world, but you still can download and install the Google Allo 2.0 from the Google PlayStore,  or alternatively, from APKMirror.
