Will Your Device be Getting the Android 7.0 Nougat Update?

Several weeks ago Google asked users of Android worldwide to help give a code name to its next version of the OS and many people responded, suggesting what they think or feel should be the name for the next version of Android. Later on, Google officially released the code name to be Nougat

A few days ago, Google started to roll out updates of its 7.0 Nougat and here is the list of devices that will be getting the updates.

Will Your Device be Getting the Android 7.0 Nougat Update?

1.    LG’s current G5  will most certainly, be one of the Android smartphones devices that will be in the first lines of getting nougat update. LG V20, the successor to the LG V10 might also be one of the first smartphones to run Android 7.0 Nougat. However, no promises have been made as to when the Nougat update will arrive on the LG G5.

2.    Sony Xperia series is also one of the Android smartphones that are expected to have the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance. When exactly these updates will arrive on these smartphones are still unknown as at the time of writing this post.

3.    Next in line is the HTCs. It is expected that HTC 10 which was released sometime in May 2016 will be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat on/before November this year. HTC A9 and M9 flagships are expected to be getting the Nougat update by the end of the year.

4.    Samsung will never be left out because they're always ready for business. The Galaxy Note 7 is the only known Samsung smartphone that will be getting Nougat update. The update is expected to arrive two or three months from now. However, I am sure that Samsung will be making plans to get the Galaxy S7 edge updated as well but there is no confirmed detail from the South Korean multinational conglomerate concerning this

5.   Last but not the least is the Motorola. Though there hasn't been any official statement or promise by the American data communications and telecommunications equipment provider, the Motorola Moto E is expected to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
