WhatsApp Will No Longer Work On These Phones By 2017

It is no longer news that WhatsApp is the most widely used instant messaging app in the whole world now. They continue to give a new taste to their work and this one of the things that make them be at the top of the business. But I'm sorry for being the bearer of what some people might call bad news, but I call it Progress. Whatsapp Inc. made an announcement on their blog as they celebrated their 7th anniversary that they will 
WhatsApp Will No Longer Work On These Phones By 2017
discontinue support of the app on certain types of phones, which means that if you still use these phones by then, you will no longer be able to keep in touch with your friends, families, relatives via WhatsApp. This announcement is set to take effect as from January 1, 2017. The phones that will be discontinued includes:

  1. All types of Blackberry (including BlackBerry 10)
  2. All Nokia phones that run on old Nokia S40 software ( Asha, X2, X3, C2) etc.
  3. Nokia Symbian S60
  4. Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
  5. Windows Phone 7.1
