Whatsapp Will Finally Stop Working on Blackberry And Nokia Phones This June

Whatsapp is undoubtedly the number one social media platform for many people around the world today. You'd be surprised to know that Whatsapp Texting and Calling and now Video calling is the number 1 medium of communication among many friends, colleagues and as well as family members.

Sometime in early 2016, the Facebook-owned social media giant took to their blog to announce the termination of support for most low-end mobile devices which includes BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 Java and Nokia Symbian S60 and lower versions of Android devices after the end of the year 2016,
Whatsapp Unspported phones
Which I am sure that most people using any of the unsupported device(s) must've been notified about Whatsapp about this new development. However, Whatsapp has extended the deadline for the unsupported phones from Dec 31st, 2016, to June 30, 2017, thereby giving users with incompatible phones more time to switch to a suported phone.

Whatsapp went ahead to disclose that the reason behind this new developments is that these phone doesn't have the capabilities to display the features Whatsapp intends to add to her instant messaging platform in the future, this includes Video calling, Video Streaming, etc.

WhatsApp now has over a billion users across the world, including Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America, as well as a significant number of users in North America, Australia, and other developed markets. WhatsApp has also continued to its app and also added some security features like 2-Step Verification & has pushed several updates to its users, with the current version of WhatsApp with video calling being version 2.16.352.
