The New Ubuntu v17.04 Promises Some New Tweaks And Features.

Ubuntu is one of the famous widely used Linux distros our world today. According to history, the name Ubuntu, (pronounced |oǒ-boǒ-ntoō|), was derived from an ancient African word meaning ‘humanity to others’. It also means ‘I am what I am because of who we all are.' The Ubuntu operating system brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the world of computers. The name Ubuntu began in 2004/2005 when Mark Shuttleworth gathered a small team of developers from one of the most established Linux projects, Debian, and set out to create an easy-to-use Linux desktop: Ubuntu, today, Ubuntu has gained a good amount of recognition and popularity among many computer users in the whole world.  The vision for starting Ubuntu is to create a part social and part economic free software, that will be available to everybody on the same terms and will be funded through a portfolio of services provided by Canonical.

There have been several versions of Ubuntu starting from 2004 to date, and each of these versions or releases were given a funny but unique code name which was derived from the name of an animal. The code names of the several versions of Ubuntu are as follows:  Warty, Hoary, Breezy, Dapper, Edgy, Feisty, Gutsy, Hardy, Intrepid, Jaunty, Karmic, Lucid,Maverick,Natty, Oneiric, Precise, Quantal, Raring, Saucy, Trus, Utopic, Vivid, Wily, Xenia, Yakkety, and Zesty which as at the time of publishing this post, the team behind Ubuntu (Conical) has already started releasing the Ubuntu 17.04 (code named Zesty) Daily Builds. However, it is highly not recommended to install these builds on your primary machine as they are still under reviews and developments and are also unstable. Anyone who wishes to have a peek of these new releases is advised to run it on a test system or VM (Virtual Machine).
